Country on its’ way to peace (for WPC: Change)

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Change.”

Since 1948, there was a civil war in Myanmar. Many people died and suffered from it, but now, although not all the conflicts are yet over, the country is heading its’ way to peace. Now it is completely safe to visit it, and you don’t have to be afraid for yourself.

This social ad shows the transition from the state of war to the state of peace. Although it is not yet over, this is indeed a change in motion.

  2. Not “completely safe to visit” for Muslims–to my knowledge, the slaughtering of Muslims in Myanmar has not ceased.

    1. Yeah, sadly, there are still some conflicts.

      Nevertheless, we’re talking just about a visit, not about the migration. Well, you know, it is impossible to tell whether a person is a Muslim or not only by his look. I know a few Muslims who moved to Belarus from Caucasus and they look the same as the Christians and the Atheists, and I didn’t even know that they are Muslims for a month, until they told it to me.

      The only problem might arise with tourist women who close their face, but in this case I do believe that the root of the problem is that closing the face contradicts Myanmar traditions and shows disrespect to Myanmar people. So, well, not closing the face is just an element of politeness and if some resons ban a person from not closing the face (not wearing a Hijab), the yes – it would be better for a person to abstain from visiting this country, at least for now.
