Wednesday Weekly Post: Sintra, Portugal

On the 2-nd of September, I’ve introduced Wednesday weekly posts.

These posts are dedicated to the destinations I’ve travelled to, probably, some time ago. Maybe, even, a year or two ago. The posts will be about the sightseeing places, people, my adventures, namely – everything that can be connected with travelling. Are you interested? Do you want to give it a try? Feel free to subscribe to this blog, or just the tag “Wednesday Weekly Post”.

And yes, you’ve got it right – the posts will appear on Wednesdays 😉

P. S. : This doesn’t mean that I won’t post stuff on the rest of the days, if I have what to post.

Feel free to leave any feedback! I would love to read anything from you!

Sintra is a small pictureque town, located close to Lisbon.

IMG_4487I’ve first heard of Sintra because of its’ Masons’ initiation temple. The temple itself is located underground and remains of a big well.

IMG_4507 IMG_4523 IMG_4540The temple is not the only thing that remains of a well, though.

IMG_4494 IMG_4499 IMG_4492On the way back to the railway station, you can get acquainted with some contemproary art.

IMG_4568 IMG_4571 IMG_4573Though the town is rather small and a day was enough to see anything in it, I will be glad to get back there.

…Besides, I’ve finally got a multiple-entry Schengen visa 🙂 (..after 4 unsuccessful attempts, when I’ve got single-entry visa..)

  1. Visited Sintra by chance last year, beautiful town, got to see the local orchestra playing in the town square, not to mention the fantastic Moorish castle on the hill above, but I didn’t even know this Mason Temple existed, a little town filled with a lot of suprises
